SIDELINE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

1. Overview

SIDELINE ("we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Account information (name, email, role)
  • Reviews and ratings you submit
  • Profile claim requests and correspondence

We also collect usage data such as search queries and page views to improve the Platform.

3. How We Use Information

  • Operate and improve the Platform
  • Display reviews and profile information
  • Verify club and coach profiles
  • Communicate about your account or submissions
  • Send optional SIDELINE marketing emails only when you have explicitly opted in
  • Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse

4. Review Anonymity

Authenticated reviewers are identified by name on their reviews unless they choose anonymous display. Guest-submitted reviews (legacy) display as "Community Member."

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data with service providers (e.g., hosting, database) necessary to operate the Platform, and when required by law. Marketing consent belongs to SIDELINE. We do not automatically share member email addresses or personal information with Prep Dig or other partners. Occasional partner offers may appear only in SIDELINE's own emails to people who opted in to marketing.

6. Marketing Emails

Creating an account does not subscribe you to marketing emails. You may opt in during registration or later in Account Email Preferences, and you may withdraw consent there at any time without deleting your account. Transactional messages about your account, security, or moderation are separate and are not controlled by marketing preferences.

7. Children's Privacy

SIDELINE is designed for parents and guardians researching youth sports. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.

8. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account data by contacting hello@sideline.app.
